Our Christmas CD Jacket does not contain all the lyrics, so having them here for you to print out is helpful. For God So Loved My Soul (3:32)Every Christmas brings, one more thing to hide you. Even in your house, it gets harder to find you. The story of a manger is the story of a stranger, meant to be our Savior, for God so loved our souls. That He came down from glory, to be nothing and to know me. To be worshiped and honored, to be my servant and my brother. To romance me and call me, call me for His own. God so loved my soul! May your birthday change, everything inside me. May I know your love, like no one else has loved me. The story of a manger, is the story of my Savior, meant to save this sinner, for God so loved my soul! Jesus is Here (4:13)She was a prophetess most of her years gone away. Now she was serving with fasting and prayers night and day. Into the temple old Anna she came, and called her a child, Jesus by name. And new that her fasting and prayers had not been in vain. And she told it to all who would hear. All those who wait for redemption, Jesus is here! Being a daughter of Aaron could not ease the shame. Barrenness held her and cast a reproach on her name. Then came the angel, Elizabeth's joy, a visit from God and a new baby boy, a visit from Mary who carried her Lord to her door. She cried "Blessed are you among women, blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus is here!". Prophets, Priests and Kings, extend their welcoming. Proclaiming to all who would hear, "Have no fear - Jesus is here!". Time lay the promise to David in gathering dust. Where Princes were carpenters where is the heir we can trust? But faith still remained in the heart of this line, and Mary believed it when God gave the sign. "Behold the maidservant of God, do as you would!" And her song overflows with rejoicing, God in His mercy drew near, Jesus is here! Christmas Hope (3:13)Seasons come and seasons go, and every year the sight of snow threatens to paralyze my soul. Christmas finds me questioning your gifts of joy and suffering and memories send me off in search of hope. I am weaker than most - You came to a manger. I am broken to the bone - You were pierced for a stranger. The past has left His mark, but Christmas heals the heart, with memories of a child who offers Hope. Hope is your child, hope is your love, covering a multitude of memories that will never measure up. Seasons come and seasons go and every year should I get cold, help the love you give me make a home. At times I might feel out of place, Oh but for your light of grace, every year you always offer hope. I am weaker than most - You came to a manger. I am broken to the bone - You were pierced for a stranger. The past has left His mark, but Christmas heals the heart, with memories of a child who offers Hope. Changed Forever!Inside the secret place you grew and touched your Mother’s soul How could Joseph stay the same, once the angel spoke? The Prophet’s spirit testified at the sight of you.. And in the temple Teachers heard, and they too… Were changed forever - by the presence of God’s love Changed forever – in the person of the Son. Oh Bethlehem, Jerusalem, from Calvary to the throne, To touch – the human soul. With purest starlight on his face, a shepherd’s heart would learn A stranger’s call across the waves, the fishermen would turn, A blind man sitting at the gate, was about to see As Lazarus stepped from his rags, he indeed was…. And so with every child you bring you touch a chord inside. And now your Spirit speaks to us, speaks into our lives Everywhere and all the time, we now understand Through your word we hear and know – in your hands!
I Want to Be Like YouWhat can I tell you, you haven’t heard? What can I give you, you made the world. Two thousand years long since your birth, And all that I have here in my heart Are these few words. I want to be like you, To see your love work your wonder, the way that you do. I want to be like you. To be humble in spirit, a manger will do. Here in your presence, I lift my face, Though I’m a sinner, I’m saved by grace. Two thousand years, and you’ve never changed, You sent for my soul, live in my heart That’s why you came! Chorus Princes and kingdoms, rulers of old. Lusted for power, trusted in gold. I want to be like you, to be humble in spirit A manger will do I want to be like you, to desire death more than living To triumph for truth, Oh I want to be like you.
One More MiracleWhat is this snowflake that fall from the sky? What is this blanket that sparkles snowy white? What is this music I hear in the night, When the stars are called out to shine. What are these diamonds of frost in the air? Weaving their ribbons of silver for my hair. What is this breath I feel fresh on my face, When the north wind comes out to play One more miracle, one more gift from above. One more miracle, one more sign of His love. One more miracle, to romance me to His side, One more miracle to prove He’s alive! What is this laughter that swells in my Heart? Watching snow angels dance into the dark Warming their hands that I hold inside mine Tiny traces of God’s design….
Some Children See HimSome children see Him lily white, the baby Jesus born this night, Some children see Him lily white, with tresses soft and fair… Some children see Him bronzed and brown the Lord of heaven to earth come down. Some children see Him bronzed and brown with dark and heavy hair.
Some children see Him almond eyed this baby whom we kneel beside, Some children see Him almond eyed with skin of yellow hue, Some children see Him dark as they, the Lord of heaven to earth we pray Some children see Him dark as they and ah they love Him too.
The children in each different place will see the baby Jesus face, Like theirs but bright with heavenly grace and filled with Holy light. Oh lay aside each earthly thing and with your heart as offering, Come worship now the infant king, ‘tis love that’s born tonight ‘tis love that’s born tonight ‘tis love that’s born tonight!
God is Near!Jingle Bells and a song, snowflakes dancing along. Will my children be warm this Christmas? One wool blanket for five, find a place for a fire, Wrap them tight in my arms this Christmas? And they will ask me why God made the winter cold? And I’ll be tempted to complain. But I’ll believe for an answer to a Mother’s prayer, May my children know – God is near…..this Christmas. They’ll be friends that still care, they’ll be stories to share, Will the Baker give bread this Christmas? Will their Daddy be found, in the line up downtown, Will my children be fed, this Christmas?
Shining, this ChristmasSo small, yet a wonder that brought life to me, A tiny hand reaching through the years, To mend my broken heart. And still, how I wonder just where I would be, Without Christmas, without His love, To light my spirit’s spark! Oh, I am shining, this Christmas, For a child in a manger. I want the world to know, That I love Him so, I’m so happy inside Yes, I am shining this Christmas, For a child in a manger, I want the world to know, why I am aglow, Baby Jesus touched my life! Oh won’t you shine with me this Christmas, And know the joy that comes from His love!
